MAFRA (the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs) and aT (Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation) established a Korean Food B2B Experience Center in Ningbo Port, China, and have been operating it since December.
One of the main ports of China, Ningbo is frequently visited by buyers from all around the world. For this reason, many countries including New Zealand and Australia are operating promotional halls which introduce their countries special products.
The total size of the Korean Food B2B Experience Center is 99㎡ and it exhibits different products certified by the Korean government—samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), traditional Korean liquor, rice noodle, hangwa (traditional Korean cookies), etc.
Separate space in the center is dedicated to Korean food tasting, and there is a room for one-to-one export consultations.
Through the B2B Experience Center, MAFRA and aT plan to introduce its visitors to Korean food products exported to China. Tasting events are going to be organized regularly to let visitors experience Korean traditional cuisine and food culture.
