MAFRA (the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs) and aT (Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation) have organized and started operating Hansik (Korean cuisine) classes taught by Korean food masters in China, the UK, the US, Spain, and India.
Last July, food master An Bok-ja (specialty in oil and honey pastry) and Kim Gyu-heun (expert in oil and honey pastry and deep-fried honey cookies) opened their classes in India and Thailand respectively.
Kimchi and gochujang (red pepper paste) classes are also about to start. In October, food masters Kim Sun-ja and You Jeong-im will run kimchi cooking classes in the UK and the US. In November, gochujang master Kang Soon-ok will teach in Shanghai and kimchi food master Lee Ha-yeon will travel to Spain.
